One of my GODS OF IMAGINATION. Thank you Mr. Frazetta for sparking a fire in my head, and sending me on a path to worlds of adventure! You will be missed, but you will live on in your masterful paintings and in the hearts of your greatest fans, like myself...

Wow. What a week this has been for the passing of influential icons of my youth. I can't overstate how much Frazetta's art means to me - he was a singular early influence in my adolescent aspiration to become an artist, and it is in his style that my imagination paints the storyboards of every fantasy campaign I've ever run.

Great minds think alike, Sean. Frazetta shaped my vision of fantasy before I even realized I had begun to develop a "vision". I do not have the words to express how indebted I am to Mr. Frazetta for this...

Frazetta gave dynamic form to Howard's words (even at times when he was at odds with them) and brought a drama to his illustration that most modern fantasy illustrators seem to lack.

this is sad news
his artwork graced the covers
and thereby encouraged readership of many
